MEET FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH 

First Baptist Church of Rockwood, TN is a vibrant, multigenerational community of believers focused on loving Christ, and dedicated to making sure others know Him as well. FBC has a long history of faithful service to the Kingdom and embraces the future, while honoring our rich heritage. With a focus on practical teaching from the Word of God and power of the Holy Spirit in our lives, we are fueled to win our world.

With a history dating back to 1878, we have a legacy of serving in the Roane County community. With declining industry in the area, this has created many opportunities for ministry to our community. The church has been modernizing within the body as we adopt an "others first" serving philosophy of ministry, while staying faithful to God’s Word as our foundation.

FBC Rockwood offers diverse ministries to all generations, creating a warm environment to form a community of deep relational connections and spiritual growth. • This role provides visionary leadership for middle and high school students, equipping them to find and follow Jesus,  focused on teaching, discipling, and creating impactful experiences such as gatherings, camps, and mission trips.
• This leader will oversee the middle and high school ministry, working closely with the kids’ ministry team to ensure alignment across next-generation ministries. They will collaborate with staff and volunteers to connect the student ministry to the broader mission of FBC Rockwood, fostering a thriving, multigenerational community. 1. Vision, Teaching, and Discipleship

• Developing and implementing a comprehensive, strategic vision to reach students and their families, translating that vision into programs designed for both numerical and spiritual growth.
• Leading all student gatherings (Middle School and High School), teaching and applying the Word of God in challenging, relevant, and engaging ways that are faithful to the biblical text.
• Creating and executing impactful experiences such as weekly gatherings, camps, retreats, mission trips, and other special projects.
• Coaching and mentoring student leaders, developing them into disciples of Christ who can lead organically within their peer groups and act as daily missionaries in their world.
• Actively engaging in the local school system as the ministry's representative to the community.

2. Leadership, Alignment, and Administration

• Collaborating closely with the Kids’ Ministry team to ensure seamless strategic and spiritual alignment across all next-generation ministries.
• Recruiting, training, motivating, and empowering a dedicated team of adult volunteers, ensuring they are equipped and supported to carry out the student ministry vision.
• Connecting the student ministry to the broader mission of FBC Rockwood by collaborating with staff and volunteers to foster a thriving, multigenerational community.
• Organizing, administering, and stewarding all ministry resources, including managing a realistic budget and providing administrative oversight.
