ADULT MINISTRIES

AS YOU HAVE RECEIVED CHRIST JESUS THE LORD, SO WALK IN HIM, ROOTED AND BUILT UP IN HIM AND ESTABLISHED IN THE FAITH, AS YOU HAVE BEEN TAUGHT, AND ABOUNDING WITH THANKSGIVING.

COLOSSIANS 2:6-7

GROUPS, LARGE OR SMALL ARE VERY IMPORTANT AT ROCKWOOD FIRST BAPTIST. FOR THE ADULTS OF OUR CHURCH, THERE ARE SEVERAL OPTIONS WHERE YOU CAN GET INVOLVED. WHETHER YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A BIBLE STUDY,

SMALL GROUP, OR SERVING GROUP, THERE IS A PLACE FOR YOU.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Whether you refer to them as Life Groups, Connection Groups, Bible Studies, Fellowship Groups, or Sunday School, at Rockwood First Baptist Church, these groups are where meaningful relationships are formed, where mutual support is provided, and where we delve deeply into God's Word. Our Sunday school program offers classes for all ages, aiming to go beyond mere lectures and factual presentations. We strive for our Sunday School Groups to foster connections among members, fostering relationships that support spiritual growth in Christ. Regardless of your age or life circumstances, there's a place for you here. Join us every Sunday morning at 9:15 AM for Sunday School

WEDNESDAY EVENING BIBLE STUDY

Join our dedicated staff and ministry servants who lead our adult Bible study groups every Wednesday evening starting at 6:15 PM. We invite adults to actively participate in these discussions as we delve deeply into God's Word together.

JOY FELLOWSHIP

Joy Fellowship is the senior ministry at Rockwood First Baptist Church. Seniors aged 55 and older gather regularly for Bible study, meals, engaging activities, and special trips. We warmly welcome all seniors to join us and be part of this joyful ministry.

Joy Fellowship, led by Ben and Annette McNees, is Rockwood First Baptist's senior ministry. Seniors, 55 years of age and older, meet on a regular basis for a time of Bible study, meals, activities, and special trips. All seniors are welcome and invited to participate in this joyous ministry.

MUSIC AND WORSHIP

Rockwood First Baptist Church embraces the instruction from Ephesians 5:19 to 'speak to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.'

We convey the truths of God’s Word through various means, including music, worship, and drama. Music holds a significant place in our weekly worship and drama ministry. On Sunday mornings, there are opportunities to lead worship through singing or playing musical instruments. Our praise team and contemporary worship band guide the congregation in preparing their hearts to receive God’s Word.

Additionally, our Drama Ministry creatively shares biblical truths through dramatic presentations, skits, and interpretive movements. There's an open invitation for everyone to participate and serve in these impactful ministries.
